We install your Tado X kit, wire and test the heating and hot-water controls where applicable, and pair the app. You supply the kit; we include local connection cable and small fittings. Product information
Overview
Professional installation of your own Tado X thermostat and controls. We fit and connect your equipment, set up the app and heating schedules, and check that the system responds correctly. Add one installation here, then adjust the quantity in your basket for up to three installations.
What’s Included
- Fitting your Tado X thermostat and receiver, as appropriate for your kit
- Heating and hot-water control wiring, connection and testing are included in the installation price where your system and Tado X kit support them. For a combi boiler, this normally means heating control only.
- Suitable heat-resistant 0.75 mm² three-core or five-core cable, or compatible Tado wiring leads, as needed for short local connections near the boiler or existing controls
- Small installation fittings such as wall plugs, cable sleeving, wiring links, Wago connectors and terminal blocks, as required. The materials fitted remain with your installation.
- Connecting your controls and pairing the Tado app
- Setting up heating schedules and preferences
- Testing the controls and showing you how to use them
Included cabling covers short local connections. Longer cable routes or wiring across the house are outside the standard installation and must be agreed and quoted separately.
Before Your Visit
This is an installation-only service. Please have your Tado X kit, any required Tado accessories, internet connection and app login ready. We’ll need access to the boiler and existing controls.
If you’re unsure which equipment you need, send us a photo of your boiler and controls before booking.
Optional Extras
Tell us before booking if you also need Tado Smart Radiator Thermostats X fitted or new heating zones created. We’ll check the equipment and agree any additional work and cost beforehand. Heating and hot-water control wiring for the thermostat installation is already included.

Compatibility
We install wired and wireless Tado X controls. The required equipment and wiring depend on your boiler, existing controls and whether you have a hot water cylinder.
Tado X supports compatible relay (on/off) and OpenTherm heating systems. OpenTherm is used only where the boiler and system support it; a boiler brand alone does not establish compatibility.
Tado X and older Tado V3+ devices cannot be combined in the same Tado system. If you are upgrading an existing installation, contact us so we can check what needs replacing.
