Hot water scheduling: Easily program daily hot water cycles and boost on demand when needed.
Geofencing: Automatically lowers the temperature when you leave home and resumes comfort when you return.
Frost protection: Prevents pipes from freezing during cold weather by maintaining a safe minimum temperature.
Voice control compatibility: Works with Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, and IFTTT.
System compatibility: Works with most gas, LPG, and oil boilers — including combi, conventional, and system boilers. Supports zone valves and multi-zone systems (consult installer for compatibility).

Compatibility
The Honeywell T6R Smart Thermostat is compatible with most UK residential heating systems, including:
- Combi boilers – Gas, LPG, or oil-fired
- System boilers – With separate hot water cylinders
- Conventional boilers – With hot water tanks and gravity-fed systems
- Zoned heating systems – Works with zone valves; multiple T6R thermostats can be used (one per zone)
- Underfloor heating – When connected via compatible wiring centers or relays
- S-plan and Y-plan systems – Fully supported
Not compatible with:
- Electric-only heating systems without boiler control (e.g. panel heaters)
- Storage heaters
- Heat pump systems without standard 230V relay or volt-free switching
- Wireless-only heating systems that lack wired receiver control
The T6R requires a 230V receiver to be wired into your boiler or wiring centre. A qualified installer can assess compatibility if you’re unsure.
