Where viable, we operate a repair-and-return or exchange model to reduce waste and cost.
- Repairable: Typical age-related failures (relay/triac/weak components). We take your faulty unit for bench repair and provide an exchanged working unit now.
- Not repairable: Units with burnt/charred terminals or fire damage are usually beyond economic repair. In these cases we quote a replacement part price on-site.
Eligibility and pricing are confirmed by the engineer after inspection.

Service Terms & Warranty (Heat Link Replacement)
- Scope of visit. Diagnose Heat Link failure, isolate power, replace and commission like-for-like, test heating & hot water, confirm app control.
- Old unit custody. To enable repair/exchange logistics, the faulty Heat Link is collected and retained by us as part of the service. If you require it returned, request this during booking; a handling/test fee may apply and no warranty is provided on salvage parts.
- Repairability rule. Age-related electronic failure is normally repairable. Burnt/blackened terminals, melted housings, or arcing damage generally render the unit non-repairable. In such cases, an upgraded price for replacement (not repair/exchange) is quoted on-site at the engineer’s discretion.
- Parts options. (a) Customer-supplied new part; (b) Our refurbished exchange; (c) Our new replacement. Availability confirmed on-site.
- Pricing & call-out. Labour £90–£120 (London). If you choose not to proceed after diagnosis, a £90 call-out applies. Out-of-hours uplift £20–£30.
- Workmanship warranty. 12 months on our labour and terminations.
- Parts warranty. 24 months on new parts supplied by us (manufacturer terms may apply); 6 months on refurbished/exchange parts; no warranty on customer-supplied parts beyond correct installation.
- Exclusions. Pre-existing wiring faults, undersized cabling, water ingress, pests, power surges, damaged boilers/valves, third-party alterations after our visit.
- Safety & compliance. We do not open sealed boiler combustion chambers. Gas work is referred to/handled by Gas Safe engineers as required.
- Cancellations. You can cancel up to 24h before the appointment at no charge. Missed appointments may incur a £90 fee.
- Manufacturer routes. Some Heat Link failures may be eligible for manufacturer replacement. We can advise, but our service provides an immediate fix without manufacturer lead-times.
- Payment. Card/transfer on completion unless otherwise agreed. VAT status shown on invoice.

- How long does it take?
- Most replacements are completed within 30–60 minutes, including testing.
- Can you supply the part?
- Yes—new or refurbished options subject to stock. You can also provide your own part.
- Will I lose my schedules?
- No—your thermostat/app schedules remain. We only replace the Heat Link and re-pair it if needed.
- What if my Heat Link looks burnt?
- That typically needs a full replacement rather than repair/exchange. We’ll quote on-site.
